Pneumatic Cylinders and Actuators

Moving Things, Day After Day

Motion control defines what a machine can do. Fokca actuators deliver that motion. ISO 15552 cylinders – 32 to 125mm bores, the workhorse of automation. ISO 6432 compact cylinders when space is tight. Guided cylinders when rotation isn't allowed. Rodless cylinders for long strokes. Stainless steel for washdown environments.

Mounting brackets – foot, flange, clevis. Rod end fittings, floating joints that forgive misalignment. Magnetic switches for position sensing. Seal kits for maintenance. Pneumatic grippers – parallel, angular, 3-point. Rotary actuators – rack and pinion for precision, vane type for tight spots. Hard chrome rods, adjustable cushions, magnetic piston options. Custom strokes and special materials when standard isn't enough.

Pneumatic Actuators

For engineers who know that motion control defines machine performance, Fokca delivers pneumatic actuators built on a simple promise: consistent, reliable movement, every cycle.

Pneumatic Cylinders – The Foundation of Motion

The cylinder is where compressed air becomes work. Our range covers the standards you expect, with the options you need:

• ISO 15552 cylinders: The workhorse of automation. Bore sizes 32-125mm, multiple mounting styles, interchangeable with global brands. For packaging machines, assembly stations, material handling.

• ISO 6432 compact cylinders: When space is tight. Bore sizes 8-25mm, lightweight, economical. For small devices, clamping, light pushing.

• ISO 21287 compact cylinders: Even shorter, even stronger. Reduced overall length without sacrificing force. For tight installations, machine building.

• Guided cylinders: When rotation isn't an option. Integrated guide rods, non-rotational precision. For precise positioning, guided loads.

• Double rod cylinders: Balanced forces, equal displacement both ends. For guided applications, parallel movements.

• Rodless cylinders: For long strokes where space is limited. Magnetic coupled or mechanical slotted versions.

• Stainless steel cylinders: For washdown environments. 304/316 construction, food-grade options. For food processing, pharmaceutical, corrosive conditions.

The Parts That Complete the System

Cylinders don't work alone. Every installation needs the right attachments:

ComponentWhat It Does
Mounting bracketsFoot mounts, flange mounts (front/rear), clevis mounts, trunnion mounts – suitable for all bore sizes
Rod end fittingsRod eyes, spherical rod eyes, clevis joints – available in metric and inch threads
Floating jointsCompensate for misalignment. Extend cylinder life and simplify installation
Magnetic switchesReed or solid-state types. With LED indicators and various cable lengths
Seal kitsComplete maintenance packages. Recommended to keep spare kits on hand

Beyond Cylinders – Grippers and Rotary Actuators

When the job requires more than linear motion:

• Parallel grippers: Synchronized jaws, high grip force. For pick-and-place, assembly.

• Angular grippers: Wide opening angle, compact. For confined spaces, simple gripping.

• 3-point grippers: Self-centering. For round parts, centered gripping.

• Rack and pinion rotary actuators: Precise angular positioning. 90°, 180°, 360° options.

• Vane rotary actuators: Smooth rotation, compact. For limited spaces, light duty.

What Actually Wears Out?

Pneumatic actuators fail. Seals wear. Rods score. Misalignment kills. Our designs address the real-world causes:

• Hard chrome plated piston rods: Resists scoring, extends seal life

• Multiple seal options: NBR for general, FKM for high heat, EPDM for special fluids

• Adjustable cushions: Smooth deceleration, less shock at stroke end

• Magnetic piston option: Reliable position sensing

When Standard Isn't Enough?

We do custom. No minimum quantity games.

• Special stroke lengths

• Modified mounting configurations

• High-temperature seals (FKM to 150°C)

• Food-grade lubricants, FDA materials

• Non-standard port locations

Quick Numbers – What to Consider

• Required force (kg) = pressure (bar) × piston area (cm²) × 1.02

• Operating pressure: 1-10 bar standard

• Temperature: -20°C to +80°C standard (wider options available)

• Cushioning: adjustable, non-adjustable, or air cushion

• Sensing: magnetic piston for position switches

Common Questions

Q1: ISO 15552 vs ISO 6432 – what's the difference?

The 15552 series is for general automation, larger bores (32-125mm). The 6432 series is compact, smaller bores (8-25mm), light duty.

Q2: Guided or standard – which do I need?

Guided cylinders when the load can't rotate or when you need precise linear motion without external guides. Standard when the load is guided elsewhere.

Q3: Custom strokes – really?

Yes. Tell us what you need.

Q4: Seal materials – what's available?

Standard NBR (-20°C to +80°C). FKM for high heat (up to 150°C). EPDM for special applications. Just ask.
