The core function of a stopper cylinder is to provide precise and repeatable mechanical stopping and positioning for linearly moving objects. You can think of it as a "precision cylinder with a pop-up block." Its structure integrates an independent stopper pin, also called a block or stop rod, inside the piston rod, which is controlled by another small cylinder. The stopper pin pops up to block advancing objects and retracts to allow objects to pass. In addition, this series of stopper cylinders features structures such as an adjustable cushion, magnetic piston, and sensor mounting groove.


Key Selection Considerations


Type: RSQ (Single-Acting / Spring Return) or RSDQ (Double-Acting).


Bore Size: Determines the strength of the stopper pin and the impact force it can withstand.

Stopper Pin Stroke: The total travel distance of the stopper pin between extended and retracted positions.

Cushioning Type: Fixed cushion or adjustable cushion.

Stopper Pin Shape: Standard square, cylindrical, or roller-equipped.

Mounting Style: Such as foot-mounted, flange-mounted, etc., selected based on the on-site structure.
